The teachings of Jesus and his apostles are not a set of prescriptive laws or commandments, but principles which we need to apply in the circumstances of our life. This is how we live by faith not by law.
Believing in Jesus means doing what he says. We must follow the teachings of Jesus and his apostles.

Principles Concerning God
Love God as your first love and secondly your neighbour.

Imitate God’s kindness to the undeserving.

Let Christ dwell in your hearts by faith.

Principles Concerning Brothers and Sisters in Christ
Love one another with a pure heart.

Do not exercise lordship over your brothers and sisters but lead by serving them.

Be a witness to the Word of Life.

Do all to the honour and glory of God.

Be diligent to do good.

Principles Concerning Your Thoughts and Speech
Sinful intent is the same as sinful action.

Remove anything in our life that may cause us to sin.
